Fully Off Grid Ultra Fast EV Charging with L-Charge
The L-Charge fixed charger is an off-grid modular solution that is multifuel enabled to function as an autonomous mini-power plant. Unlike regular on-street chargers, our fixed chargers don’t require a grid connection – they produce electricity via a generator installed onboard. The charging units use LNG/ Hydrogen, or a mixture of both, and only require replenishing once a week.
The power generated ranges from 300 kW to 2000 kW, which significantly reduces the time spent on charging. It's designed to satisfy market demand for fast, high-powered charging and is key to increasing the acceptance of e-mobility.
FIXED Charging Systems
Our fixed, grid-independent, ultra-fast charging solutions are mini power plants that operate using clean fuels and are intended for more permanent use. Unlike regular on-street chargers, our fixed charging units don’t require a grid connection. Instead, they produce electricity via an internal generating system. Our charging units are autonomous, require little operational intervention and can be installed within a day post-manufacture. All charging units can be tailored to meet your requirements and are offered in different capacities, ranging from 300kW up to 2000kW. Our solutions are designed to satisfy market demand for ultra-fast high-powered charging and serve as key enablers in achieving the infrastructure growth required to meet global all-electric target dates.
MOBILE Charging Systems
Our mobile charging solution uses clean fuels to power a mini power plant onboard for electricity generation. Major advantages include the fact that the power plant only requires refueling once a day and doesn't require a grid connection or frequent battery changes to operate continuously. The power generated from the plant can deliver an output charge of up to 130 kW, which significantly reduces the charging duration for drivers on the go. Beneficial for commercial use, EV drivers are able to pre-order or schedule an emergency charge via our app – it's as simple as ordering a taxi.

What makes us unique?
We’re ultra-fast
Approximately 82% of charging points in the UK are “slow” (3-6kW) or “fast” (7-22kW – still slow). The issue with AC charge points, is that it takes hours to charge a car from 20% to 80% full.
Our mobile charging unit can deliver an output charge of 130 kW, our fixed units vary in size from 300kWh to 2000kWh. As a result, we can charge vehicles at the maximum charging speed that they are able to accept.
How do these “mini-power plants” work?
Our solutions generate and store electricity in a battery energy storage solution to enable ultra-fast charging.
Are you grid independent (Off-Grid)?
L-Charge has developed mini-power plants that use clean fuels to generate electricity in fixed locations and on the go. Our solution can be deployed very quickly and works especially well in locations where grid supply is constrained.
Eco-Friendly?
We use the cleanest available fuels to generate electricity, in addition to this, we are also planning to develop a solution that uses renewable energy sources.
Do you have both fixed and mobile charging units?
Our mobile charging units will deliver quick, efficient and eco-friendly charges wherever they are located. We plan to launch our mobile service across London in September 2022.
Our network of fixed charging stations are being rolled out in key public locations around the UK. These units are scalable and operate completely off-grid, allowing for swift deployment to enhance the charging facilities across urban hubs and rural locations.
We will become a one-stop shop to serve all EV owners needs in the future.
L-Charge has developed a mobile app that will serve as the interface for the entire ecosystem, serving EV owners with a host of services, starting with electric vehicle charging and gradually increasing with other onsite and partner value additions.
What is the price of the kW generated by L-Charge versus the competition?
It’s our aim to monitor costs and ensure that L-Charge has the competitive edge when it comes to cost per kWh, compared to costs with conventional EV charging point providers.
*The cost of 1kWh via the mobile charging unit will be higher than that of a fixed charging unit due to the service we offer.
