Federal EV Incentive:
In 2019, the Federal Government launched an incentive program for eligible EV/PHEVs. As the list of vehicles is constantly changing, please visit Transport Canada’s page for the most up to date information.
In 2022 the program was updated, with additional funding to last until 2025.
A car must have a base model Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price that is less than $55,000. Higher priced versions of these vehicles, up to a maximum Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $65,000, are also eligible.
Larger zero-emission vehicles (e.g., sports utility vehicles, minivans and pick-up trucks) must have a base model Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price under $60,000. Higher priced versions of these vehicles, up to a maximum of $70,000, are also eligible.
Larger battery vehicles will receive an incentive of $5,000, while those with smaller batteries will receive $2,500.
Dealers will reduce the vehicle by the incentive price – you, the consumer, will have no additional paperwork and will receive the savings immediately.

Incentives for purchasing zero-emission vehicles (canada.ca)
We know that the higher upfront purchase cost of zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) can make it more difficult to adopt this clean technology. The Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles (iZEV) Program and tax write-offs for businesses are helping to make it more affordable.

Alberta
The Electric Vehicle Charging Program (EVCP), from The Municipal Climate Change Action Centre (MCCAC), supports Alberta municipalities looking to install new EV charging stations in on-street locations, public places, municipal property and for municipal vehicle fleets.

This represents a savings of up to $150,000 for each Fast Charger.
Be quick, over $3 million is available to Alberta municipalities and non-profit community-related organizations located on municipally-owned land.
